Even if you’ve had seven interviews in one week for seven similar positions, don’t treat them as the same interview. Each company, role, and interviewer is different — and each requires preparation.
Research the company.
The corporate website is a given, but go beyond it. Research competitors and understand how the company differentiates itself in the marketplace.
Research the interviewer.
Learn about their professional background, experience, and role within the organization. LinkedIn can be an excellent resource.
Research the position.
This is critical. You can’t effectively interview for a position if you don’t fully understand the responsibilities, expectations, and qualifications required.
Most importantly, know what makes YOU the ideal candidate.
Be prepared to clearly articulate how your experience, skills, accomplishments, and expertise align with what the company needs.
Every interview is an opportunity to demonstrate why you’re the right fit. Prepare for it like it’s the only one you have.
