Eli Lilly to build 2 new manufacturing plants
In preparation for a potential Alzheimer’s launch, Eli Lilly is investing more than $440 million into a facility in Limerick, Ireland. The plant will employ more than 300 people once built. Additionally, they will spend $1 billion on an injectables facility in Concord, NC. This plant will hold some 600 workers. The site is about 400 acres, which will allow for future growth. Construction will start this year 2022 and take several years to complete.

Eli Lilly anticipating big things in 2022
In its mission to deliver 20 new drugs to the market in a decade, Eli Lilly is looking forward to two new launches in 2022. One is donanemab, a new treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
