THE ROLE:

Project Manager | Innovative Life Sciences Construction Company | RETAINED

DESCRIPTION:

This retained search is being conducted on behalf of our innovative client who is a modular provider of cleanrooms, clean spaces, and cold storage solutions.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects from initiation to completion. This includes planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

HIGHLIGHTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Create detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.

  • Coordinate resources, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Set project goals, milestones, and deadlines.

2. Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team, assigning tasks and ensuring project progress.

  • Manage day-to-day operations and resolve any project-related issues or conflicts.

  • Ensure effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients.

3. Budget and Resource Management:

  • Estimate project costs and develop budgets.

  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.

  • Monitor and control project expenditures and ensure financial efficiency.

4. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks or obstacles to project success.

  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and address issues as they arise.

  • Implement corrective actions if needed to keep projects on track.

5. Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

  • Provide regular status reports on project progress, risks, and challenges.

  • Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.

6. Quality Control:

  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Conduct project reviews and audits to ensure adherence to project plans.

7. Project Closure:

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.

  • Close projects and hand over final deliverables.

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess successes and areas for improvement.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Experience: Proven experience managing projects, typically 5+ years.

  • Skills:

    • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Suites, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Autodesk Construction Cloud).

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

    • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
