While most interviewers use this as an opener to an interview, answering it with a breakdown of your whole history could be a mistake. Think about using this time to make a strong first impression.

Your response to this question should be a short elevator pitch (no longer than 1-2 minutes) highlighting some of your strengths, relevant experience and why you’re excited about this job.
