Q4 Revenue boom

In what is described as an ‘always tricky’ Q4, 21 of 22 of the world’s biopharma companies that reported quarterly revenue of at least $2 billion reported an increase in revenue in Q4 of 2024. Leading those increases are Eli Lilly (+45%) and Novo Nordisk (+30%). The only company thus far reporting a decrease is Teva.

Most anticipated drug launches of 2025

In 2024, Evaluate projected that the top 10 expected launches were expected to generate $15.2 billion in sales by 2028. This year’s list is projected to generate nearly double that at $29 billion in annual sales by the end of the decade. This list is the highest projected list in the last five years. One of the primary reasons for the increased figures is a new cystic fibrosis offering from Vertex Pharmaceuticals that tops the list.

The book is titled “The Coming Wave: Technology, Power, and the Twenty-first Century’s Greatest Dilemma” predicts artificial intelligence will change what most jobs look like, across nearly every industry, within the next five years. It is written by AI pioneer Mustafa Suleyman.
