Bristol Myers Squibb has two cell therapies that have been approved with three more in its pipeline. With this, the company has increased its manufacturing capabilities in the US with a third facility receiving FDA approval in Deven, Massachusetts. This 244,000 square foot facility has been under construction since 2021 and will add 500 new cell therapy jobs.

It has not been an easy road but Lexicon, a biopharmaceutical company, has received FDA approval for Inpefa (sotagliflozin), a treatment to reduce the risk of heart failure for patients with Type 2 diabetes chronic kidney disease, and other cardiovascular risk factors.
